This almond glaze is kind of like a sweet, creamy condiment you will keep dipping your dessert in. It is smooth, sticky and loaded with almond extract and made with only two (ok, three for the ultimate upgrade), simple ingredients, and less than three minutes.

Warning: this recipe will give you sticky fingers and get you all messy and gleaming with joy. I know I am being a bit dramatic, but I want to get your attention and make it clear that this is not your typical, powdered sugar glaze. The base is sweetened condensed milk, which is basically creamed milk syrup and a splash (or two) of almond extract. So all you need to do and bake your favoring pastry, maybe some Almond Cream Rolls, Or Almond Sugar Cookies and get a spoon to stir.
This glaze is perfect to drizzle/top and dip on scones, cookies, cakes, sweet breads, pastries, and a great way to sweeten your coffee.
Note: this glaze does not harden like the classic glaze. It keeps its sticky smooth consistency.

Glaze Upgrade
If you want to take this recipe to a mind blowing, OMG level, process some toasted almonds in a food processor, until you have a paste like consistency, then stir it into the glaze. Make sure you use toasted almonds, raw do not taste like much. It adds a beautiful golden hue and the flavor is nutty, and toasty which goes perfectly with the punchy flavor of almond extract.

This recipe makes for one cup of glaze, enough to glaze one 9-inch bundt pan, and 8 pastries, and 12-15 cookies.
