Servings 4 eggs

Ingredients

  • 4 Eggs Cold from the refrigerator
  • 1 large Bowl

Instructions

  • Gently place the eggs in the bowl and place it in your kitchen sink under the faucet.
  • Allow the water to run over the eggs until warm.
  • Run the warm water for 1-2 minutes, then turn the water off, making sure the bowl is full of water.
  • Allow the eggs to sit in the warm water for 10-15 minutes.

Notes

  • It is always best to plan ahead and place the eggs over the counter to let them reach the right temperature over time, about 30-60 minutes.
  • To warm separate eggs, place the bowls of the separated eggs in a slightly larger bowl filled with warm water 2 inches high.
  • Keep in mind the eggs's cooking temperature; egg whites cook at the temperature of 144-149F (62-65C). Egg yolks cook at the temperature of 149-158F (65-70C).
  • If the eggs flat to the top of the bowl/cup, they are rancid and should be discaded.
