A moist, buttery, and tender orange cake soaked in liquor syrup. Bake it for an afternoon snack or dinner dessert.
Step one: Mix the dry ingredients in one bowl and the wet ingredients in a separate bowl
Step 2: Rub the orange zest in the sugar.
Step 3: Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 4: Add the eggs, one at a time
Step 5: Add the dry ingredients alternating with the wet ingredients
Step 6: Fill your greased pan and bake.
Make the syrup Place the ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce to simmer and cook while stirring for 4-5 minutes.
Remove the cake from the oven then pour the syrup over. This step is optional.
