Simple Chocolate Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Unsalted Butter, soften (226 g / 8 oz)
  • 1 Cup Unsweetened Powdered Cocoa (85 g / 3 oz)
  • 4 Cups Powdered Sugar (500 g / 18 oz)
  • 4 TBS Full Fat Milk

Instructions

  • In A bowl of a standing mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and cocoa powder until combined.
  • Add the powdered sugar in 4 parts alternating with the milk.  (if adding mayonnaise add it with the last addition of the milk)
  • Scrap the sides and bottom of the bowl and increase speed to medium.
  • Continue mixing for 3-5 minutes.
  • Use immediately.
