Basic  Challah Bread

Traditional

In a large bowl place the flour, sugar, yeast, egg and salt

Pour water over the mixture

Use a wooden spoon (or a stand mixer) to mix the ingredients until a shaggy mass forms

Knead the dough for 7-10 minutes (4 minutes if using a stand mixer)

Until the dough stretches easily before it tears 

Spray with oil and cover until doubled in size

Shape and let rest again, then bake and enjoy!!!
