Simple Chocolate Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Unsalted Butter, soften (226 g / 8 oz)
  • 1 Cup Unsweetened Powdered Cocoa (85 g / 3 oz)
  • 4 Cups Powdered Sugar (500 g / 18 oz)
  • 4 TBS Full Fat Milk

Instructions

  1. In A bowl of a standing mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and cocoa powder until combined.

  2. Add the powdered sugar in 4 parts alternating with the milk.  (if adding mayonnaise add it with the last addition of the milk)

  3. Scrap the sides and bottom of the bowl and increase speed to medium.

  4. Continue mixing for 3-5 minutes.

  5. Use immediately.
