In Italian, Ciambellone translates to "Big donuts" so from its name you can tell how amazing this cake is. Tender, and slightly lemony, this cake is made using simple ingredients and is perfect for breakfast, lunch and afternoon treat.
1. In a bowl, sift the flour and mix in the baking powder. Mix the milk and lemon juice.
2. Rub the lemon zest with the sugar.
3. Beat the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. 4. Drizzle in the olive oil.
5. Add the eggs, one at a time.
6. Mix in the flour mixture alternating with the milk mixture.
7. Bake. Use a 10 cups bundt pan, or a ring pan. The cake is ready when a toothpick comes out from the center of the cake with few moist crumbs.
